Story & Final Verdict:

Whistle that marks third collaboration of Vijay and Atlee is an attempt to emphasize women empowerment. After Successfull back to back movies Will the actor-director duo deliver hat trick with the film ?
Michel(Vijay) is the local messiah of the masses and often helps the poor. He has many enemies and who keep targeting him often. One fine day, Michel’s friend who is a ladies’ football coach gets badly injured and Michel is left to lead the side as a new coach. But the twist in the tale aries when the ladies in the team strictly do not want him as their coach. Why did they do this? What is the reason? Who is this Michel? What is his past and how does Michel train the team and win the tournament finally? To know this, you have to watch the film on the big screen.
Coming to the performances and technical aspects Actor Vijay has shown a decent variation between Rajappa & Michel doing justice to both the characters. All his fans will be impressed. Nayantara has done justice to her role. Vivek’s comedy did not work out. Jackie Shroff has done very well. All the others have done justice to their characters.Director of Photography is decent and Editing is good should have trimmed Two songs composed by A R Rehman, is good. Remaining songs are just okay. Director Atlee is good in engaging the regular film with commercial elements.
Coming to the conclusion, Both commercial elements & social message are present in the movie. There is a lot of Tamil nativity in the film & the commercial elements have made the movie lengthy. The social message can be appreciated in the second half. if you are a regular commercial movie lover go for it.

Bottom Line:  Feast for Vijay Fans !
